About 305 SKY
What makes 305 SKY different from other aircraft maintenance facilities?
305 SKY is run by a third-generation aviation family, and our customers become an extension of that family. Clients have the direct cell phones of the people who know their aircraft and can call or text anytime for help or troubleshooting. Inspections are a flat fee quoted up front, every discrepancy is estimated and approved before repair, and our team brings more than 55 years of combined aviation knowledge.
Can I reach the people working on my aircraft directly?
Yes. 305 SKY clients have our direct cell phones, so you can call or text the people who know your aircraft at any time, whether it's an AOG or a quick troubleshooting question before a trip. New customers can reach us any hour at 305-326-3498.
Is 305 SKY family owned?
Yes. 305 SKY is a family-owned company founded in 2019 and run by third-generation aviators, whose team brings more than 55 years of combined generational experience in aviation maintenance and aircraft management. Many of our customers have become friends.
Inspections & maintenance
Who does business jet and turboprop maintenance in South Florida?
305 SKY maintains business jets and turboprops from locations at Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Boca Raton (BCT) and Vero Beach (VRB), plus Fort Lauderdale Executive (FXE). We handle scheduled inspections, unscheduled repairs, troubleshooting, avionics, interiors and pre-purchase inspections, and our mobile team travels to aircraft across South Florida.
Do you perform Challenger annual inspections?
Yes. 305 SKY plans Challenger inspections to Bombardier's maintenance program, combining the calendar items that come due each year with any hourly tasks so the aircraft is down once instead of twice. We work on the Challenger 300, 350, 604, 605 and 650 at Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Boca Raton (BCT) and Vero Beach (VRB).
Where can I get a Citation phase inspection in South Florida?
305 SKY performs Citation phase and calendar inspections at Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Boca Raton (BCT) and Vero Beach (VRB). Send us your tracking report and we'll tell you which phases and calendar items are coming due, combine what makes sense, and give you a written quote before work begins.
Should my King Air be on phase inspections or annual inspections?
It depends on how much you fly. Phase inspections split the work into shorter visits at set hour intervals and suit King Airs that fly a lot; an annual inspection does everything once a year and suits lower-hour aircraft. 305 SKY will look at your hours and mission and recommend one, at Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Boca Raton (BCT) and Vero Beach (VRB).
How long will my aircraft be down for an inspection?
Downtime depends on the aircraft, the inspection and what we find, so 305 SKY gives you a planned downtime in writing with every quote. Bundling hourly and calendar tasks, planning around your trips and ordering likely parts early are how we keep that window short.
Can you work around my flight schedule?
Yes. Tell 305 SKY your upcoming trips and we'll plan inspections and repairs between them. Many squawks can also be handled by our mobile team at your FBO instead of bringing the aircraft into the hangar.
Do you work on aircraft that are not based in South Florida?
Yes. Owners and operators fly in to 305 SKY for inspections and repairs from outside the region, and transient aircraft that break while visiting South Florida are a large part of our AOG work.
Is 305 SKY a Part 145 repair station?
Not yet. 305 SKY has applied to the FAA for a Part 145 repair station certificate, which we expect in the first quarter of 2027. Until then, all of our work is performed and signed off by licensed, FAA-certificated A&P mechanics, and annual inspections are signed off by our mechanic holding Inspection Authorization (IA). We'll update this answer when the certificate is issued.
Who signs off annual inspections?
Annual inspections at 305 SKY are signed off by our FAA-certificated A&P mechanic holding Inspection Authorization (IA), as the regulations require. You receive completed logbook entries and an itemized invoice with every inspection.
AOG support
Is there 24/7 AOG support at Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton and Vero Beach?
Yes. 305 SKY's AOG line, 305-326-3498, is answered by a person 24 hours a day, every day. Our mobile AOG team supports aircraft at FLL, BCT, VRB, FXE, Opa-locka (OPF), Palm Beach (PBI) and other airports from Miami to Port St. Lucie.
What happens when I call your AOG line?
A person answers and asks for the tail number, where the aircraft is parked and what's wrong. 305 SKY then tells you what we think it is, who's coming and when, sends a technician with our mobile van, sources parts if needed, and keeps you updated until the aircraft is signed off.
What can a mobile AOG team fix on the ramp?
Many squawks can be diagnosed and repaired at the aircraft: troubleshooting, component swaps, minor repairs and return-to-service paperwork. When a repair needs hangar equipment, 305 SKY coordinates moving the aircraft to our Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton or Vero Beach location.
Do you help with aircraft that are not normally your customers?
Yes. Transient aircraft and crews away from home are exactly who 305 SKY's AOG service is for. You don't need an existing account to call 305-326-3498.
Aircraft we work on
Which aircraft does 305 SKY maintain?
We maintain business jets and turboprops, including the Bombardier Challenger and Global Express, Cessna Citation, Learjet, Beechcraft King Air, Gulfstream, Dassault Falcon, Embraer, Hawker, Beechjet and Pilatus PC-12 and PC-24. If you don't see your aircraft, ask us; we work on many more types.
Can your hangar fit a Gulfstream G450 or Global Express?
Yes. 305 SKY's 12,000+ square foot hangar at Vero Beach (VRB) takes mid-size and heavy business jets, including the Dassault Falcon 900, Gulfstream G450 and Bombardier Global Express, so large-cabin aircraft are worked on inside, out of the sun and weather.
Do you work on Learjets and Hawkers now that they are out of production?
Yes. 305 SKY inspects and repairs Learjets, Hawkers and Beechjets, and sources parts through our supplier network as soon as a finding is confirmed, so you know early if a part will affect the schedule.
Do you install Garmin avionics?
Yes. 305 SKY plans, installs and documents Garmin avionics upgrades, from flight displays and navigators to autopilots, and handles the installation paperwork. Avionics troubleshooting and repairs are also available at Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Boca Raton (BCT) and Vero Beach (VRB).
Pre-buys, buying & selling
What is included in a pre-purchase inspection?
A 305 SKY pre-purchase inspection combines a records review (logbooks, airworthiness directive and service bulletin compliance, inspection status and damage history) with a physical inspection of the airframe, engines, systems and avionics. You receive a written report you can share with your broker, lender or insurer.
Can you review aircraft records without a full inspection?
Yes. 305 SKY offers stand-alone aircraft records reviews for buyers, sellers and owners preparing for a sale, covering logbooks, AD and service bulletin compliance, inspection status and damage history.
Does 305 SKY buy aircraft?
Yes. We buy aircraft, including distressed and off-market aircraft, and represent owners selling their aircraft. Because we maintain aircraft too, we can assess condition and return-to-service needs quickly. See recently sold aircraft or ask for a confidential valuation.
Why digitize my aircraft logbooks?
Digitized logbooks are protected against loss and can be shared with a buyer, broker or inspector in minutes, which speeds up a sale. 305 SKY scans and organizes aircraft records as a stand-alone service or alongside maintenance.
Aircraft management
What does aircraft management include?
305 SKY's aircraft management covers flight crew coordination, flight scheduling and logistics, maintenance planning and oversight, insurance and warranty support, owner reporting and budgeting, and fuel, parking and hangar coordination, with one point of contact for your aircraft.
Do managed aircraft get better maintenance pricing?
Yes. Aircraft managed by 305 SKY receive preferred pricing on eligible maintenance performed by our team, along with access to negotiated fuel discounts, preferred parking where available and our South Florida hangar network, subject to availability and the management agreement.
Can you look after my aircraft while I am away for the season?
Yes. Many owners in Vero Beach, Palm Beach and Boca Raton are seasonal. 305 SKY tracks what's coming due, schedules and completes the work while you're away, and has the aircraft ready when you return.
Locations & coverage
Where are your locations?
305 SKY has four South Florida locations: Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International (FLL) at 240 SW 34th St, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33315; Boca Raton Airport (BCT) at 3300 Airport Rd, Ste 202, Boca Raton, FL 33431; Vero Beach Regional Airport (VRB) at 2655 Airport N Dr, Vero Beach, FL 32960; and Fort Lauderdale Executive (FXE) at 1905 NW 51st Street, Hangar 43A, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309.
Do you serve aircraft at Opa-locka (OPF) and Miami?
Yes. 305 SKY's technicians and mobile AOG team support aircraft maintenance, inspections and aircraft management for operators at Miami-Opa Locka Executive (OPF) and Miami Executive (TMB). Larger inspections are done at our Fort Lauderdale or Boca Raton locations, a short hop away.
What are your hours?
305 SKY's shops are open Monday to Saturday, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, and the AOG line, 305-326-3498, is answered 24/7.
Quotes, pricing & payment
How much does a phase or annual inspection cost?
305 SKY prices phase and annual inspections at a flat fee, quoted up front for your aircraft before work begins. Any discrepancies found during the inspection are presented to you, the owner or operator, with labor and parts estimates, and nothing is repaired until you approve it.
What is your hourly labor rate?
305 SKY's labor rate depends on the aircraft, so we quote every job for your specific aircraft rather than publishing one rate. Phase and annual inspections are a flat fee; repairs and other unscheduled work are estimated in labor and parts, with parts, materials and outside services itemized separately. Call 305-326-3498 or request a quote.
How is maintenance priced?
Every 305 SKY job starts with a written quote. Phase and annual inspections are a flat fee quoted up front; repairs and discrepancies are estimated in labor and parts for your aircraft and approved by you before work begins. Your invoice matches what you approved.
What happens if you find discrepancies during an inspection?
305 SKY presents each discrepancy to the owner or operator with a description, photos and labor and parts estimates. You decide what gets done and when; no discrepancy is repaired until you approve it, and approved items are added to the same work order.
Will I be charged for work I did not approve?
No. Nothing beyond the approved quote is done without your approval. Inspections are a flat fee, and every discrepancy repair is estimated and approved by you before work begins.
What do I receive when the work is done?
An itemized invoice and completed logbook entries, every time. 305 SKY keeps one work order per job, so the quote, the updates and the invoice all agree.
Do you take photos during inspections?
Yes. 305 SKY photographs your aircraft throughout every inspection, so you have visual proof of its condition and of each discrepancy we find. Photos are available for your reference whenever you want them.
When can my aircraft leave after maintenance?
Your aircraft is released once payment is confirmed in a form acceptable to 305 SKY, such as cleared funds or a wire confirmation. The details are in our terms.
